Terms and Conditions of Sale General The following Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions and orders with BuyRight Electricals The placing of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and retain a copy for your records. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. Copies of our terms and conditions are also available by applying in writing to BuyRight Electricals, 112 Malling Street, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 2RG. Every effort is made to ensure that the information contained on this website, including product images, prices, descriptions and specifications, is accurate, but we cannot guarantee it’s accuracy or reliability. Errors are occasionally found, and in these circumstances we will inform you and ask if you wish to continue with your order, or cancel it. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions, any products, prices and services offered on our website at our sole discretion, and at any time without prior notification or warning. Manufacturers names and part numbers are used for reference purposes only. You must be 18 years of age or over to order from BuyRight Electricals. Ordering and Payment No contract will exist between you and us until: 1) Payment of the whole amount of the price and delivery costs for the goods has been authorised by your bank or credit card provider, 2) We have received payment of the whole amount of the price and delivery costs for the goods, and 3) The order has been accepted by us and the goods dispatched. The payment must be authorised at the time of the order. Payments will only be accepted from UK issued credit and debit cards. All orders will be acknowledged by email, or verbally in the case of telephone orders, at the time of order, but this does not constitute an acceptance or confirmation of the order. We reserve the right to decline the order, or part of the order, for any reason and will inform you by email or telephone. We will inform you if your payment details cannot be authorised for any reason, and may offer you an alternative method by which to pay. We may request further information from you when deciding on whether to accept your order. This is done to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. Only when we have accepted your order and dispatched the goods will a legally binding contract exist between you and us. When you place an order we will treat it as an offer to buy. We will send you an email to confirm receipt. If we accept the order, then we will also email you when the goods have been dispatched. Prices and Delivery Costs The prices payable for the goods you order are set out in our website and are inclusive of VAT, but exclusive of any applicable delivery charge. Standard delivery cost is free for mainland UK addresses. Offshore and outlying area delivery costs vary depending on location: Northern Ireland £7.50, Isle of Man £7.50, Scottish Isles £7.50 Scottish Highlands £7.50 and Isles of Scilly £7.50. Please contact us for more information. In the event that our products are listed at the wrong price due to typing errors, or incorrect pricing information from our suppliers, then we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed. Delivery Delivery should be made within 5 working days of your order. If the goods are out of stock at the time of your order, or they have to be specially ordered direct from our suppliers, then delivery will be within 28 days of your order. In the event that a product is not available after you have placed an order, we will notify you by email as soon as possible of a suitable alternative, or you may cancel the order if it is over 15 working days late. Our standard delivery policy is to only deliver goods to the billing address of the credit or debit card used to make the purchase. However, if delivery is required to an alternative address then the credit or debit cardholder must be available to accept delivery, and will also be required to show suitable photo identification (only a valid driving licence with photo ID, or a valid passport are suitable). We only deliver to addresses within the UK. Standard delivery costs apply to mainland UK addresses only. Certain areas, including the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Outer Hebrides, Shetland Isles and Northern Ireland incur additional delivery costs and possibly longer delivery times. At this time we do not ship to British Forces Post Office (BFPO) addresses and locations. In the event of our courier attempting delivery when the customer is out, they will leave a contact card requesting the customer contact the courier directly to arrange an alternative delivery date. The courier will hold the package for a period of 7 days, whereby if the customer has not contacted the courier and arranged an alternative delivery date, the item may be returned to us. In this instance, a further delivery charge equivalent to the original cost of shipping will be due if the customer subsequently requests the item to be re-sent to them. If the customer decides to cancel the order, then any refund due will be less the cost of the original shipping charge. Please contact us for further details before making your purchase. Our chosen delivery service providers (unless your item is sent via standard Royal Mail post) will require a signature on delivery. Therefore you must be available to accept delivery at the agreed location and on the agreed date. As a fraud prevention measure, you may also be required to show suitable photo identification (passport or drivers licence) to the courier in order for the delivery to be completed. The delivery will not be made if you cannot show the required identification. This is done to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. BuyRight Electricals endeavour to respect the stated delivery times, but cannot be held liable for any interest or damages because of late delivery, and cannot accept cancellation of an order on that basis. You are responsible for the goods as soon as they have been delivered and are held at your own risk. Any damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery note at the time of delivery. In the case of items delivered by standard Royal Mail postal services, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. It is your responsibility to check the goods you are signing for and to note any differences on the delivery note. It is your responsibility to notify us of any damage, shortages, or if any of the goods supplied are incorrect, within 48 hours. We will not accept liability for any damages to goods, shortages, or incorrect goods supplied unless we are informed within 48 hours of delivery.
Returns Policy - Unwanted Goods Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, if you wish to return an item to us, then you have 7 working days from the day after the date of delivery to inform us in writing. We can be contacted by email via Pixmania, Amazon, eBay, or other shopping website used to make your purchase from us, or directly on support@buyrightelectricals.co.uk. When you contact us with your wish to return the goods, we will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Number. Please note: Returns will not be accepted without a valid Returns Authorisation Number. When a Returns Authorisation Number has been issued, it is valid for 7 working days from the date of issue. Returns will NOT be accepted if the Returns Authorisation Number is no longer valid due to expiry of the above 7 days. Your goods must be complete, unused and in ‘as new’ re-saleable condition. If you have opened the box to examine the product then you must have done so without marking the product or damaging the packaging in any way. Your product should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories, as well as any ‘free gifts’, CD’s, video tapes and/or software sent with the item. If your order is returned to us damaged then we reserve the right to deduct the cost of repair of the damage from the amount to be refunded to you. If your order is returned to us with parts, accessories, manuals, instructions, or any other item missing which was included with the original order, then we reserve the right to deduct the cost of replacement of the missing item from the amount to be refunded to you. If the item has been used then it cannot be returned to us as an unwanted item and no refund will be due. When returning unwanted goods, you are responsible for the cost of shipping the goods back to us and is done so at your own risk. On receipt of the goods, and subject to inspection by our inspectors to ensure the above conditions have been met, we will refund you any money paid for the product within 30 days. If you cancel the contract after we have processed your order and dispatched it, but you have not yet received it, then you must not open the package when the goods are received. Special order products, and products made to the customers individual specifications, are non-returnable as unwanted products under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. Certain other products are also ineligible for return under The Distance Selling Regulations 2000, such as earphones and electric shavers, due to hygiene considerations. Returns Policy - Faulty Goods All products supplied by BuyRight Electricals are covered by the terms and conditions of the manufacturers guarantee. Many manufacturers handle guarantee claims directly, so in the unlikely event that a fault occurs with your item within the guarantee period, in the first instance you should contact the manufacturer, or their service agents, directly for help and assistance. Where manufacturers do not deal with guarantee claims directly, then please contact us in writing to report the faulty item and we will provide you with a Returns Authorisation Number and arrange collection of the goods. We can be contacted by email via Pixmania, Amazon, eBay, or other shopping website used to make your purchase from us, or directly on support@buyrightelectricals.co.uk. Please note: Returns will not be accepted without a valid Returns Authorisation Number. When returning the item, please ensure that your product is accompanied by the original delivery note. In the event of returning a faulty item, BuyRight Electricals will in the first instance provide you with a replacement item, or if one is not available, a refund. If goods returned to us are found to be perfect and in full working order, then they will be returned to you and an administration charge of 25% of the price of the goods, along with the cost of carriage to you, will be charged to your credit or debit card. All products supplied by BuyRight Electricals are covered by the terms and conditions of the manufacturers guarantee. This guarantee excludes faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse, modification or repair by the customer or non-authorised repair centre. In addition, routine maintenance, consumables, cosmetic damage and tuning of channels is not covered. Please check all cable connections, fuses and components, such as remotes, batteries and plugs according to the manufactures guidelines and faultfinding guides found in all instruction manuals before raising a complaint. Liability Goods and services provided through our website are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we are unable to supply the goods you have ordered, we will not charge you for them and we will refund any money already paid. Our only liability will extend to refunding you the cost of the goods purchased by you providing that all relevant terms and conditions outlined in this document have been met. We will have no liability to you for any consequential or indirect loss, damage or expenses however caused, and will have no liability to you to pay any money to you other than to refund you the amount you paid for the goods ordered. Force Majeure We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered, or any delay in doing so, or for any damage or defect to goods delivered resulting from any condition beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to governmental action or acts of terrorism, earthquake, flood, fire, explosion, accident or other Act of God, strikes, lock outs and other industrial action, breakdown of systems or network access and power failures. After Sales Service All products supplied by BuyRight Electricals are inclusive of a manufacturers warranty. All electrical products can either be repaired by the manufacturer, or an authorised service agent. A list of authorised services agents can be obtained from the manufacturer, whose contact details can be found in the instruction manual. Recycling – Distributor Take Back Scheme BuyRight Electricals operates in an environmentally responsible manner and abides by The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2006. As such we are members of The Distributor Take Back Scheme (DTS) for the recycling of old household electronic and electrical equipment. WEEE should be sorted and recovered for environmentally sound disposal and recycling. As members of the DTS our private household customers can take their waste electronic and electrical equipment on a one-to-one basis free of charge to the nearest recommended recycling or disposal facility.
